ALUMINIUM India 2011

New Clusters at ALUMINIUM India 2011

Green Processing – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

There are a number of valid arguments advocating the recycling of aluminium - environmental, ecological, social. The most effective argument, without doubt, is the economic implication - a positive side effect of aluminium's propensity for recycling. Recycling aluminium requires significantly less amounts of energy than is used in the manufacture of primary aluminium. Recycling aluminium scrap requires 5% of the energy required for primary smelting! If you factor in the implication on power alone for a country like India, there has never been a more relevant time to talk about the significance of Green Processing.

The 2011 edition of ALUMINIUM India will see the introduction of the Green Processing cluster, thus allowing for the evolution of ALUMINIUM India into an umbrella that gives exhibitors and visitors access to a broader yet complementary portfolio under a single roof. The Green Processing cluster will offer the aluminium industry a never before platform to network, update knowledge and evaluate first-hand the benefits of going green!
